Manage Records

Use the CRM module to manage the records that you already have in the Busibricks system.

In the CRM module you can edit existing records, download a record as a PDF, export records for use in other software, share records with other people and delete existing records.

Editing Records

NoteEditing records is only available if the user has write permissions on that record.

Complete the following steps to edit an existing record:

  1. Use the Search function or navigate the list of existing records to find the records that you want to edit.
  2. Click on the record's name. The record's details are displayed on a new tab. The Info tab is displayed by default.

  3. To edit the selected record's Info, click the Edit button. The Info form is displayed.
  4. To edit the selected record's Contact information, click on the Contact tab then click the Edit button. The Contact form is displayed.
  5. Edit any of the record's details as required.
  6. Click Done to save any changes (or click Cancel to cancel any changes). The record's new details are displayed.
  7. Close the record's tab to return to the list.

Download Records as PDF

Complete the following steps to print a record's details:

  1. Use the Search function or navigate the list of existing records to find the record that you want to download.

  2. Click on the record's name. The record's details are displayed on a new tab. The Info tab is displayed by default.

  3. Click on Options.
  4. Click on Download as PDF in the drop-down menu. The Save As dialogue box is displayed.
  5. Choose the location where you want to save the PDF and name it.
  6. Click on Save. The dialogue box closes and the record is saved as a PDF in the specified location.

Exporting Records

Complete the following steps to export a record's details for use in other software:

Note: Not all record types can be exported, in these instances there will be no Export option.

  1. Use the Search function or navigate the list of existing records to find the record that you want to export.
  2. Click on the record's name. The record's details are displayed on a new tab. The Info tab is displayed by default.

  3. Click on Options.
  4. Click on Export in the drop-down menu. The Save As dialogue box is displayed.
  5. Select the folder you want to save the vCard file to and specify the file name.
  6. Click the Save button (or click Cancel to cancel the export). The record's details are saved as a vCard file in the specified location.
